Thank you for your interest in the Abundant Living Faith Center (ALFC) Internship Program. We are so excited about the possibility of having you as an intern for our next internship semester. Our desire is to be a catalyst to your discovery and development of your God-given potential. ALFC Internship Program will provide interns with hands-on ministry experience as well as intensive leadership and spiritual development.

As you read this application packet, you will find answers to some frequently asked questions. Please read through the application, complete it, and return it promptly. All applications must be submitted by Monday, May 20th, 2019 at midnight.

Your completed application will be reviewed and prayerfully considered for admission to the program.

• What is the purpose of the internship program?
• Provide opportunities for Interns as servant leaders to develop and grow spiritually, personally and professionally through teaching and practical ministry training and service.
• Provide fruitful and meaningful support to church departments and staff as they endeavor to fulfill ALFC's vision.
• Equip those achieving as interns to:
1. Live a life that manifests, communicates and shares the good news of the abundant life that Jesus came to give us.
2. Be planted in a place where they supply — gifting, talent, availability, and capacity — which will meet kingdom needs to bear kingdom fruit and grow their talent and abilities.

• What is the mission?
• Assist accepted interns in discovering and developing their God given leadership abilities.
• Introduce accepted interns to a variety of experiences associated with ministry.
• Create a well-rounded experience that reveals the joys, triumphs, challenges, and opportunities of service in full-time ministry.

• What are the qualifications for becoming an intern?
• Minimum of eighteen years of age with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Born-again, water baptized individuals who are currently actively involved in church ministry.
• Three references.
• Self-transportation (valid driver’s license and car insurance).
• During office hours for any projects/duties assigned: interns must be able to provide their own laptop/tablet to perform assignments.

• What are the expectations of an accepted intern?
• Commit to serve for the duration of internship experience.
• Office Interns: Work 12 - 15 hours per week at the ALFC office plus serve church services.
• Mandatory development classes on Tuesdays from 9 am - 12:00 pm and Thursdays from 9 am - 11:30 am.
• Some ministry departments/schedules may require additional hours (For example, team nights and trainings). Applicants will discuss and agree to a schedule designed to fulfill the internship requirements within each ministry prior to acceptance.
• Attend and actively participate in all internship program events, meetings, classes and services. This also includes all ALFC events and activities. Attendance is mandatory and a critical part of the experience.
• Complete assignments for internship development classes.
• Maintain good internship/life balance.
• Agree with Abundant Living Faith Center’s statements of doctrinal belief. (www.alfc.com/our-beliefs).

• What are the benefits of becoming an intern?
• Hands on experience in the realities of serving on a proactive and successful church staff.
• Intensive experience that should assist in life planning.
• In-depth spiritual development and leadership training.
• Accountability and mentorship with an ALFC staff member.
• Growth and development in your personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Ministry practicum in one of the designated departments.

• What are some of the potential ministry departments hosting interns?
• Service Production Team (audio/video/lighting/technical).
• Kingdom Kids Ministry.
• Music: Vocals & Band.
• Youth & Young Adults Ministry.
• Spanish Ministry.
• Outreach Ministry.
• Creative Production (Graphics/Social Media).

• What are the fees for the internship?
• Internship Program Fee: $150 (non-refundable). The program fee is due by Thursday, June 20th, 2019.

• Where does the internship take place?
• Mandatory development classes: at the EAST campus.
• Ministry assignments: may take place EAST or WEST campus depending on assignment.

• What is an intern’s employment status?
• All internships are non-paid internships. Interns are classified under temporary employment status. As such, interns are not eligible for benefits.
